QUALITY DISTRICT AWARD
Metro Lakes
District current structure was formed in 1995,
comprising of the cities of Minneapolis, Richfield
and St Anthony. Shown below are the years in which
the prestigious Quality District recognition has
been awarded to Metro Lakes District.

DISTRICT AWARD OF MERIT
 The District award of Merit is a council award presented by
Scout Districts to Scouters who render service of an outstanding
nature at the District level. Districts are authorized to
only present a limited number of these awards each year which is
based on the number of units within the District.

for one of our District Awards. The
District Award of Merit (described above)
is the highest honor a District can
award to a volunteer; Metro Lakes is
currently limited to only 3 of these
awards annually. The "MLD 'Scouting
Good For Life'" Award is a District
appreciation award given to outstanding
Pack, Troop, Crew, or District volunteers,
nominated by their peers; we will give
out a limit of 10 of these recognitions
per year.
